Donations

The San Ramon Library Foundation raises funds for library programs and materials through two used book sales each year. We are glad to accept items in good condition. Materials which are in poor condition (torn, wet, dirty, mildewed), or out of date are not useful. These are more useful to the local recycling center.

For additional information, see the library's general information on donations.

We do accept: paperbacks, hardcover books, DVDs, videos, and music CDs. We will not accept damaged or out-of-date materials, textbooks, encyclopedias more than 5 years old, magazines (except National Geographic) or cassettes.

Donations can be left in the designated donation bin located in the lobby of San Ramon Library, or in boxes or bags next to the donation bin. This area is accessible during regular library hours. Please do not leave items outside as they may be damaged by the weather. Pick-up of items can be arranged in special cases by calling the Library. A receipt for income tax purposes is available at the check-out desk.
