The Friends of the Walnut Creek Library is an organization dedicated to improving library services in Walnut Creek. Their bookstore is located at 1910 Olympic Boulevard, Suite 101 and will open February 4, 2008. Hours will be Mondays-Saturdays, 10am-4pm. Donations of gently used books, audiobooks, DVDs and CDs for the store should be taken to the bookstore during open hours only. Donations cannot be accepted at the Walnut Creek Park Place Library and we cannot accept the following:
- Torn, dirty, moldy, written in or highlighted books
- National Geographics or other magazines and newspapers
- Reader’s Digest Condensed books
- Textbooks
- Record albums or tapes
Your support of the Friends bookstore will help the Friends provide funds for a wonderful opening day collection for the new downtown Walnut Creek Library, scheduled to open in the spring of 2010.
