    The Filipiniana collection includes English language materials about the Philippines and Filipino-American experience.

    • A small collection of titles are also available in Laotian, Hmong, and Khmerat the San Pablo Library.

     

    The International Languages Collections offer materials for adults, young adults, and children in formats that include books, periodicals, DVDs and audiobooks. Links are provided for browsing the catalog.

    Spanish collections

    The majority of community libraries currently carry some Spanish language materials. The following libraries have collected Spanish language materials for many years and have more comprehensive collections than those found elsewhere in the system:

  • Antioch, Bay Point, Brentwood, Concord, El Cerrito, El Sobrante, Martinez, Oakley, Pinole, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, San Pablo.

  • The largest collections are found in Antioch, Concord, Pittsburg and San Pablo.

  • To search the catalog for Spanish language items, use the classic catalog Advanced Search with Language and Branch limiting options.

    • Chinese collections

    Chinese language collections include books printed with both traditional and simplified characters.
