About the Lafayette Library and Learning Center
The Lafayette Library and Learning Center is located in the heart of Lafayette - at the corner of Mount Diablo Boulevard and First Street. It is in walking distance of Lafayette Elementary, Stanley Middle School, senior housing, the Lafayette BART Station and many of the community's neighborhoods.
The new facility boasts an expanded collection of books and audiovisual materials, 43 public computers, a Technology Lab, separate teen area, Homework Center, Community Meeting Room, Art & Science Discovery Center, more than 80 on-site parking spaces and much more.
The Lafayette Library & Learning Center is also home to the Glenn Seaborg Learning Consortium, a "first-ever" collaboration among some of the Bay Area's most prestigious educational and cultural organizations. Through the Consortium, a wealth of collaborative learning workshops, exhibits, lectures, films and discovery centers are offered to the community.
