Library-a-Go-Go is back!

Library-a-Go-Go is an automated book dispensing machine where Contra Costa County Library card holders can borrow books and return them to the machine when finished.

The 3 machines are are available at two BART stations: Pittsburg/Bay Point & El Cerrito del Norte, and at the Sandy Cove Shopping Center in Discovery Bay.

  • How many items can I check out at a time?
    Three (3)

  • When is my book due?
    As at all Contra Costa County libraries, books are due in 3 weeks and you get a receipt with the due date.

  • What happens if I lose the book, the case or both?
    If you lose the case or the book or both, visit any Contra Costa County community library and pay the charges. The charge for a lost book is $5.00 plus the replacement cost of the book. The charge for a lost case is $5.00.
    You can also download and print the Library-a-Go-Go Payment Form to send a check by mail.

  • Can I renew my book?
    Library-a-Go-Go books can be renewed online or by phone at 1-800-984-INFO (4636) - select option 1.

  • Can I place a hold on a Library-a-Go-Go book?
    Library-a-Go-Go books cannot be placed on hold.
