StoryCorps @ Contra Costa County Library

IMLS medal

Contra Costa County Library received the Institute of Museum and Library Services’ (IMLS) 2012 National Medal for Museum and Library Service, the nation’s highest honor for museums and libraries.

As part of the National Medal Award, the IMLS has partnered with StoryCorps to visit each award-winning library to document personal stories demonstrating the ongoing impact libraries have on individuals in our community.

This is one of those stories.
