Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros

Join Contra Costa County Library for a celebration of Children’s Day, Book Day. April 30th, also known as Día (diversity in action), is a celebration of all children and their love of books, and a literacy initiative celebrated by libraries across the country. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the celebration created by award-winning author, Pat Mora, who was inspired by the Mexican celebration El día del niño (The Day of the Child). Celebrate by joining us at our online events and storytimes, access our digital resources for kids, and visit your library to pick up your books.

Las bibliotecas del Condado de Contra Costa te invitan a nuestra primera celebración por el Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros, este 30 de abril. Este día, también conocido en inglés como "Diversidad en acción" usando el acronimo DIA, es una celebración de todos los niños y sus queridos libros. También es una iniciativa de alfabetización infantil celebrada en bibliotecas a travez del país. Este año marca el 25 aniversario de ésta celebración creada por la galardonada autora Pat Mora, quien se inspiró en la celebración mexicana de el Día del Niño. Celebra y únete a nosotros participando en nuestros eventos y hora de cuentos en línea, y por visitando tu biblioteca local para recoger tus libros.
