The Danville Library boasts a strong collection of over 72,000 items for all ages. Among the many resources available are six catalog computers and 33 public internet terminals, including an Assistive Technology computer workstation, and WiFi access throughout the building and outside on the Town Green. We offer color printing and Early Literacy Computers preloaded with many fun and interactive activities for children ages 2 – 8 to help develop reading skills. Library staff regularly offer educational programs for all ages including author presentations, storytimes, children's performances, computer workshops, a book discussion group and teen programming. The library is also proud of unique services such as Books for the Homebound, the Stories-to-Go preschool program, one-on-one genealogy research assistance (in partnership with San Ramon Valley Genealogical Society), and one of the largest Teen Advisory Boards in Contra Costa County. In 2013, the Danville Library celebrated 100 years of library service in the Town of Danville.
