LINK+ is a free service that allows library cardholders to borrow materials not available from the Contra Costa County Library collection.  LINK+ is a catalog of more than 4.5 million unique titles available from over 60 academic and public libraries across California and Nevada. Use your library card to request items for pickup at your local community library.


  • LINK+ is a free service where Contra Costa County Library card holders can borrow materials that are not available at Contra Costa County Library.  LINK+ is a cooperative effort among many California & Nevada public and academic libraries. Use your library card to request items for pickup at your local Community Library.  A full-access library card is required.
  • You can search the LINK+ catalog by clicking here:

    Once you find a title you would like to borrow, click on “Request This Item,” select “Contra Costa County Library” from the drop-down menu and click “Submit.” Enter your name, Library card number, select the pickup location from the drop down menu and click “Submit.’ If your item is available, you will see the message “Your request for {item requested} was successful.”

    You are allowed ten LINK+ items on request at one time.

    You cannot request items that are currently available from Contra Costa County Library.

    If no copies are available on the shelf at the lending library, you cannot successfully request the item.

    LINK+ does not allow for hold queues on items.

  • All Library materials, including LINK+ items, may be returned through the book drop​ at your local library. 

    The Library does not charge overdue fines. Replacement charges and processing fees associated with any long overdue item will be removed from your account when the item is returned in good condition to the Library. 

    Pinole Library and Ygnacio Valley Library are closed until further notice. There is currently no service to Rossmoor Books-to-Go or Discovery Bay Library Connection.

    How to check your Library account status:

    View a summary of your library card account activity by logging in to your account and checking in one of two places:
    - Dashboard view on the left side of the screen or
    - Clicking the down arrow on your user ID in the upper right of screen

    Under the category Checked Out, the following items will be displayed:
    - Items that were checked out, but not yet due
    - items that were checked out, and less than 30 days overdue

    Under the category Fees, the following items will be displayed
    - Replacement charges for items that were checked out, but are now 30 or more days past due (considered lost)
    - $10 processing fee associated with each lost item
    - Other fees such as collection fee, returned check fee, missing parts fees, etc.

    When a lost item is returned in good condition, the replacement charge and $10 processing fee associated with the item are removed from the account.

  • Go to the Library homepage at, and in the top right corner, click on “Log In/My CCCLib.” On the drop down menu, click on “More Accounts.” Click on “LINK+ Account” and then log in with your last name and your library card number.

  • You will be notified by email when the item you requested is ready for pickup. If you have not provided the library with your email address, then you can check the status of your LINK+ requests using the LINK+ online patron account website, at, opens a new window.  You can also contact library staff to check on the status of your LINK+ requests.
