Flanked by majestic redwoods, the Moraga Library with its "Early California" design has served area residents in its current location since 1974. The Friends of the Moraga Library contributes significantly to the Library's materials budget and funds free programming for all ages. Interactive and lively storytimes, children’s and family programs, such as music and dance performances, magic shows, lectures, author visits, and workshops are offered regularly. The Friends Book Shop is open to the public during most library hours. The Moraga Historical Society maintains local history archives in a separate climate-controlled room adjacent to the Library. Home to almost 65,000 books, audiobooks, music CDs and DVDs as well as public computers, free Wi-Fi and a large public meeting room, the Moraga Library is an inviting destination for all.
