Brentwood Library Group Study Room Rules

Brentwood Library offers two (2) Group Study Rooms (A and B) for individuals and groups up to six (6) people.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to read, understand, and agree to comply with all rules related to the use of the Study Rooms.

Groups or individuals that fail to follow guidelines described herein are subject to immediate dismissal from the room and may be restricted from booking the room in advance.

All Brentwood Library Rooms fall under the Contra Costa County Library Meeting Room Use Policy

The Library's Patron Conduct Policy also applies to all rooms and library property.

Duration of Use: One (1) room per day, two (2) hours per person/group. Groups may not book multiple sessions under different names.

Booking: Rooms may be booked up to one (1) week in advance by booking online, at the Information Desk, or by calling 925-516-5290.

Arrival: Applicant must check in at the front desk before entering the room. Study room use must begin within 15 minutes of reservation start time or the reservation will be canceled.

Reservation Time: The room must be completely vacated by the end of the reservation. Reservation time must include any necessary prep time and cleanup time to return the room to its original use.

Cancellations: To cancel a booking, applicants can click on the link in their email confirmation or call the Brentwood Library at 925-516-5290.

No Call/No Show: Applicants who have two (2) or more no call, no-shows will be restricted from booking the room in advance for up to 30 days.

Extensions: One-hour extensions are permitted, based on availability, and can be requested 15 minutes before the end of reservation.

Room Use: The door must be closed when the room is in use and the applicant must remain in the room. Quiet talking is allowed but rooms are not soundproof.

Equipment: Table, Six (6) chairs, whiteboard, dry erase markers, electrical outlets.
