All Hands On Deck: A Path to Our Sustainable Future

The Contra Costa County Library and the League of Women Voters, Diablo Valley and West Contra Costa, recently partnered to present - All Hands On Deck: A Path to Our Sustainable Future. Marti Roach, from 350 Contra Costa, moderated a panel that included Albert Garcia from Contra Costa Library's Adult Services, Laura Wehrley from Sustainable Contra Costa, Alex Walker-Griffin, Vice Mayor of Hercules and Zoe Siegel, Director of Climate Resilience at Greenbelt Alliance.

The discussion focused on the resources offered by organizations like the Contra Costa County Library, Sustainable Contra Costa, and Greenbelt Alliance and how supporting and changing legislation can benefit populations that suffer the effects of environmental hazards.

The program recording can be found on the library's and the League's YouTube channels.

Here is a resource list with information on how to acquire the mindset to accomplish our sustainable goals and how to encourage and influence others to do the same.

The Contra Costa County Library's Sustainable 2020 initiative includes booklists, blogs, programming and resources to support our communities.

Thank you for taking the time to read about how the library and other organizations in Contra Costa County are working together to build a path to our sustainable future!
